One of the most common procedures that take place at any dental practice today is fillings. The popularity of sugary and acidic foods and drinks mean it is increasingly common to see patients with cavities.

If you are experiencing symptoms of tooth decay such as a toothache, you will first have your teeth examined and possibly x-rayed to determine its extent.

Your dentist will apply a local anaesthetic to numb the affected tooth and remove decay. They will then clean and disinfect the tooth before applying a composite filling to repair the cavity.
